Stables Montessori

About Us

Stables Montessori

When Danielle and Ross opened their first purpose-built ECE centre together back in 2019, the site they built upon in Halswell, was the historic grounds of one of New Zealand’s finest harness racing stables.

In searching for a name for their first centre together, they settled on Stables Montessori Preschools. With a strong brand, focused on delivering high-quality Montessori learning and care, the decision was then made to roll this brand across their wider and growing network of purpose-built centres.

My name is Danielle Fisher and I have worked in Early childhood for the past 20 years, where I’ve been a teacher, manager, regional manager and now a centre owner. All of these roles roles have provided me with different experiences that I cherish today as a centre owner.

I have a Bachelor in Teaching and Learning ECE, a certificate in Leadership, and a Diploma in Montessori Education. Providing quality Early Childhood Education and care is paramount to me. I am passionate about  about the Montessori philosophy and how seamlessly it aligns with Te Whariki.

I’ve lived in Canterbury all my life, growing up in Akaroa and then moving to Christchurch when I started my career in Early Childhood. Family is very important and I feel very lucky to have a supportive family. I am married and my husband Mathew and I have two wee girls, Mya and Harper. I love spending time with my family.

I love working with children because there is nothing more rewarding than watching children grow, develop, and progress through life. I feel very fortunate to be a centre owner, which I have been for the past six years now. Within that six years we have built three preschools and brought two. Owning centres allows me to ensure that the centres I’m involved with are always well equipped to deliver quality for children and to enrich the communities they’re in.
